Welcome to day four of your unique Lawless Luke EP experience...

Day 4

Hello and welcome back!  If you’ve made it to day four then hats off to you, and thank you for staying with me, I hope you’re enjoying the journey.

Today’s song is called “I’ll See You At The Crossroads” and was written about the time that I decided to pack in my job and pursue music full time!  I was listening to a lot of Texas blues at the time of writing this song and reading a book called Crossroads about Robert Johnson, so this naturally bled into the influences of the music and lyrics.

I hope you enjoy it, and I can’t wait to speak tomorrow for day five of your exclusive tour of my debut EP.

"I'll see you at the crossroads, where the hell hounds roam..."

Lyrics

Verse
Sweet sugar mama said not to go,
I said pretty mama I’m gonna miss the show,
I should have left you darling back in 1985,
But you taste so good back then like a glass of moonshine.

Chorus
I’ll see you at the crossroads where the hell hounds roam,
I’ll see you at the crossroads where the devil makes his own.

Verse
I saw the doctor she said my my,
That pretty doctor said lay off the moonshine!
I should have listened darling…right now I’d be pretty fine,
But the whisky and the women sure gone wrecked my mind!

Chorus
I’ll see you at the crossroads where the hell hounds roam,
I’ll see you at the crossroads where the devil makes his own.

Outro
Wish I’d never met you yeah, right now I’d be doing alright,
If I’d never met you, yeah, my my, my my,
Met the devil at the crossroads, yeah, dark thoughts are on my mind,
Met the devil at the crossroads, yeah, my, my, my, my…
